Madeleine Barlow is a set and costume designer for stage and screen currently based in South East Queensland.
After obtaining her Masters of 'Design for Performance’ in 2019 from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA- Sydney) Madeleine relocated to NYC to work and intern on and off-Broadway. Her favourite role from this period was as the Associate Set designer on the world premiere musical Fly More Than You Fall (NOORDA Center).
Since returning to Australia her notable film credits include: As Costume Designer; the Stan Original feature film Christmas On The Farm (Hoodlum Productions), The Curious Case of Dolphin Bay (Steve Jaggi Productions) and the national Coffee Club Advert (Chop Shop Post Pty Ltd and VMLY&R) APDG award nominated. She was also thrilled to work as the Production Design Assistant on the tv series In Our Blood (Hoodlum Productions) recently nominated for a Logie.
Notable stage credits as set/costume designer include Billy Elliot (The Star Grand), School of Rock (Empire Theatre) APDG Award Nominated,
Madeleine is also currently serving as an APDG representative for ‘Emerging Stage Designers’ and as a guest lecturer at both JMC and QUT. She is immensely pleased that she has continued to work between stage and screen in so many capacities.
